• I’m having troubles with my newly updated Traktor Pro 2.6. controlled with Kontrol S2.
  I’m not sure if it’s the mapping, but I never experienced these issues with TP 2.5 and 2.5.1 mapped with the BeauBryte mapping (from DJTechTools).

  1.) The jog wheels are highly sensitive and fast that when you try to do a a simple 1 or 2 beat baby scratch, it’s as if you’re skipping an entire phrase. How to install auto tune 7. (Imagine trying to find the down beat of a song). Worst is the sound is awful.

  2.) I noticed that my rotary encoders are skipping lines. The browser knob skips 2 lines for every click. The loop knobs also do the same (i.e. From 4-beat to 1/2 beat on 1 click).

  3.) Whenever I press cue, it plays the song from the beginning while on hold, but when you press play, it begins where the cue marker is. This is on both 2.5 and 2.6 mapping on the TP 2.6.

  For a work around, I tried to use the BeauBryte mapping for the TP 2.5 and the default mapping of the S2 but I still have the same issues. But when I use the generic keyboard mapping and try to scratch the track with the mouse, I don’t experience the issues I mentioned.

  Is this already a software issue? Got a solution for this you can share?

  I’ve used Beau’s mapping since 2.5 on my S2.
  I didnt notice anything special about the jogs actually….only change I’ve noticed is with the “quick search”. When you brows into the track with shift button pressed. It didnt really work in 2.5.1 but now with 2.6 it works perefctly….nto as sensitive as it was before.

  With the file browser knob maybe 1 in 20 times it jumps 2 lines for me….loop and other knobs works 100%.

  The last thing isnt the CUE/CUP change? Check the install picture….one of the jpg files in the directory you download. There you can find instructions how to go into the mapping and switch back to “normal”.

  If it didnt help then good luck….I’m out of ideas atm.

I'm currently on the 30 day trial for VDJ, using my second hand Stanton djc.4 controller. The full infinity license has quite a hefty fee. But, this controller is mapped primarily for VDJ although there are basic mappings for Traktor Pro. About 4 years ago: by DJ Techtools: 37 likes, 3 dislikes. Traktor 2.6 Xponent. While some of the DJC.4 controls designed for Virtual DJ did not have a direct correlation in Traktor, just about every control did something useful, and the few odd buttons that did nothing could be programmed to.
